Rainbow Cheetah

I drew this on a black thick cardboard. The purpose of this assignment was to reverse the typical drawing method: it takes more effort to color with white instead of black. I used the basic prismacolors and it was too big to scan...which is why the flash of the camera shows more of the flaws

John Wayne

John Wayne.

Mermaids

The typical redhead Disney mermaid
Just doodling
I'm not too good at drawing from my head. There's an occassional picture that I like, but then I never finish it anyways.

My Grandpa, before he was.

Camera Picture
Scan
The difference is the scan doesn't pick up the shading as well, but the picture makes it look orange. This is my grandfather as a young(er) boy. The mouth isn't exactly the same.

Moody Fish

More fish. Doodles with a fountain pen and colored pencils.

Elvis?

Well.....sorry I didn't do it justice.....I realize now Elvis is a pretty risky person to draw. This was a quick sketch of a black and white photo. Not my favorite piece.

Sloppy Fish

Quick sketch. I am obssessive about drawing fish.

Of course this one has yet to be finished.

Sad Doll

This doll of mine was brought back from Mexico. We had a lot in common when I drew this. I was sick, and hadn't brushed my hair in a few days. She looked pretty sad, and it was my fault I neglected her hair as well.

Five-Minute Fairy

It took exactly 5 minutes to draw this fairy, just from imagination. However, in those five minutes, it never once occurred to me that it might not be considered a fairy..... without wings.

Crayola Pencil Superman

After

Before

Coloring scares me to death, so I took a picture of Superman before I ended up ruining him.

Rock

Found this picture in a shoebox of family photos... I did this in about half an hour to avoid organizing those photos.

Falling Apple

I should have been studying science during the time I drew this, specifically Sir Isaac Newton. I used prismacolor pencils. Well, it's kind of a "thank you, apple."

Aretha

Aretha Franklin. I drew this the same day as Audrey Hepburn and Elvis. I went through a "even though I wasn't around during that time, I still love these people" phase. I think I broke the artist rules and used mechanical pencil on this one.

Lots of Dots

My first attempt at pointalism, last year.
It's Norma Jean....aka: pre-"Marilyn Monroe"....
